Dear sisters, in Christ, We must pray. I do not think there has ever been a time that we have needed prayer more. Ladies, when we hear it on the television, I think the time is here. We urge you to make Prayer THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY in your life. If you do nothing else in the name of Stonecroft this year, Pray together. Is your outreach waning? Are your Bible Studies dwindling? Is your community suffering? What is the answer? Let us ask you this; "How are your prayer connections going?" We don't want to sound like broken records, but if you are not praying how do you know what it is that God is asking you to do? It isn't about what you are depending on, a functioning team, nice weather, invitations, great meals and speakers. It is about Who you are depending on? Who's ideas are you going with? Our advice to you is to find out what God is doing in your community and join Him. The only way to find out what He wants is to spend time with him. If you have attended anything that we have planned for leadership in the last 3 years, this is not news to you. If you have not attended those events, then it is no wonder that you are struggling to keep your team together and function as an outreach group. We have committed as a leadership team in our region to Pray. We are writing to you to encourage you to do the same thing. PRAY and do so to the point of annoying others. :o)

We would rather you have a gathering of women who will pray together than to do outreach and not one new person comes to know the saving grace of Jesus. After all, who saves?? Not you and not me. Only Jesus Saves and we need to petition Him to save our friends, our communities, our country.

So Merry Christmas, We love you all so very much. We are thankful for you as sisters and co-laborers for the cause of Christ. And may we all have a New Year that is so full of Prayer that others will wonder about our sanity.

"Heart to Heart" is an event that Stonecroft Ministries puts on once a year to honor, support and connect military women.both active and married to active. During this event they are lavished with love and appreciation, have a wonderful meal, receive valuable resources and opportunities to "Connect with each other, God and their community"
Local Stonecroft Groups, volunteers and leaders help to support this effort through prayer, mentoring and giving.

It seems as though God is opening up doors like never before, for our ministry to reach out to women in the military who need to connect to each other.to God.and their community (their military community)

We are living in a crucial time on the heavenly calendar. Could it be that our God is pouring out His favor for us to reach more women.now.like never before? Pauletta Staley the National Director of the Military for Stonecroft Ministries, has met with many Chaplains and Chaplains wives over the last year. She has found the need to be great.the divorce statistics are staggering (85%) the suicide cases are growing and the families are deteriorating.We believe God may be opening up doors for us to partner with the Chaplains.Chaplains wives and with Family Readiness Officers (FRO"s) in order to give women the resources they need to THRIVE not just survive.

Stonecroft is having a "Heart to Heart" event in Cheyenne Wyoming at F. E. Warren Air Force Base on Saturday November 6th. Our prayer and goal is to have 150 military women in attendance. These women will hear the message of salvation from well-known author and speaker Billie Cash. Our goal is to help connect these women to each other, to God and to their military community. We will have a connection time for women to sign up for Bible studies, "Pray and Play" groups and book club gatherings. “ Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.” Jude 1:3

I listened to a CD by Dan Smith yesterday. I bought the CD at my first Stonecroft conference in 2000. There are a couple of songs on it that really inspire me. One is the “Opus of Life” in which the songwriter tells us we yet have the opportunity to write a chapter of history. Another tells of the great warrior of faith, who learns to do without in order to fight the battle against our adversary. But the one that made me cry yesterday was “Contend for the Faith”. As I listened to that song, I imagined Paul in a cold and dark prison. He was still writing letters of encouragement in the midst of oppression. He wasn’t feeling sorry for himself, as his ministry certainly had changed and taken on a look for which he had not counted, but counting it all joy, he had opportunity to tell of the Goodness of God and was able to tell the story of Jesus though his ordeal. As I listened to that powerful song, the tears began to roll down my cheeks as I thought about my own attitude in service to the King. Do I walk on or do I grumble? Do I sit and quietly weep inside when something is bothering me or do I thoughtfully take a stand for Truth in the Word of God? God calls us into His service, and He empowers us for the task. Notice the order there? First He calls then He empowers. So when you are feeling ill-equipped in what He has called you to do, know that He will equip you in His time.

Are we still a significant force? That was the question rolling around in my thoughts as I traveled to Stonecroft last in March to meet with other SRA’s, Development Leaders and Field Directors. Our mission is to reach women in every age in every stage of life with the news that Jesus paid the price. The Gospel never changes. We may look at new ways to present it and new faces to present it to, but the facts and the truth do not change. Our field has changed. Did you know that statistics tell us that 40% of 16 to 26 year olds are not sure that there is a God? And 26% of 28 to 48 year olds don’t know if there is a God? Those statistics staggered me. And yes, we are still a significant ministry.

Where are we going in 2010? Prayer first. On our knees, in the presence of our Holy King we will move forward, not looking back, but toward the land that God has given us. Like Joshua, we need to move forward. God says, “Trust Me”. We need to take the wisdom that He gives, not be distracted from the goals and be very courageous.

We start with a plan. God’s plan. Your leaders have bonded together and we will not only pray for you but we will work along side you wherever we can to lay claim for our region, for Jesus sake, and we will “Contend for the Faith”.

We will begin on Friday Oct 1 with Prayer and Praise, and a time to help you with your daily walk with Jesus.

Day 2, Oct 2nd will begin with locally led events and at 11am we will join with thousands of women around the world for the Stir event via a simulcast from Kansas City. A Global conversation about what is going on with Stonecroft around the world and at home.

Ah yes, green in Spearfish.

The Northern Hills Connection met in Spearfish on St'Patrick's day.
It was a sea of green as Sister Eileen O'Conner shared what it was like
growing up Irish in New York City. She even danced the jig and other Irish dances that she learned as a child.

Herself, the Irish, Anita Schuman, pictured here with Sister Eileen,
spoke for the event. There were several women who asked for
booklets following Anita's Truth or Consequences. Yahoo!

Pray n Play is taking off in Rapid City!
Meeting number two for the pray n play group was a success! Five moms attended this month's event on February 27th as did eight of their twelve children.
"You'd think it would be chaos with that many kids and no babysitter! But, it's just what we needed. The kids did great & the pray n play format is perfect for our group." says Leader, Jenn Renner (picture #2.) Also attending were Fran White & Shelli Grinager who've attended previous Stonecroft Bible Studies, as well as two newcomers: Jessie Woods & Shannon Dump-McCarthy. Praise God for the opportunity for us to get together & study His word!!
Next meeting is scheduled for March 13th at 9:30am.

Wanting to share with you all my praises to our Father in Heaven for Stonecroft's Ministry.
We had a wonderful Outreach this week, in Newcastle, with many first time guests, another month of 5 or 6 more interested in SBS's (we will begin a new study within two weeks!), an exciting and enjoyable program filled with fun and laughter, and my huge praise is that our brand new Planning Team shows God's love and unity in heart to serve the LORD and do His will.....and sometimes this isn't an easy thing to do!
I love Stonecroft's Mission Statement! "...to equip and encourage women to impact their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ." I opened my dictionary this morning to look again at what "encourage" means. This is what it says. "To give courage, hope, or confidence to; hearten.....to give support to; foster; help." And Stonecroft's Slogan, "In essentials, unity; In non-essentials, charity; In all things to glorify Christ." This is so important for us all to remember as we do the work of this ministry. I have noticed that first and foremost we need to follow God's leading....for He is the one who takes care of the details of the plans for our Outreach programs...even changing OUR plans sometimes! Ha! Ha! He provides our every need....financially too! I am sooooo thankful for this comfort and peace...knowing that our LORD is in control of all things....and will bring about His plan IF we don't get in His way, having a humble and obedient spirit!
Just wanted to share this....and tell you all that I love you and am thankful for the input that you all have in my life....a huge blessing!!!

In Casper on Jan 23 and 24th Stonecroft Regional Administrators, Terri Brown and Amy Wagner were commissioned by former SRA Louise Garvin and several other women who have mentored them into this ministry. Pauletta Staley is our Field Director and also attended the event. The dates for the next training event are October 23 and 24th.

Holly Berry from Minneapolis MN both entertained and challenged the women who attended the Casper event. Holly is an anointed speaker who uses her talent to honor Christ.
